How to post your poetry
Welcome to the new AucklandPoetry.com - the aim is to provide writers with a social platform to present and share their work. After much software testing, it seems apparent to me that this is by far the most user friendly and idiot proof writing tool (wordpress) to allow you to join and share your work.
It is simple:
1/ Register to join
2/ Login to post your poems - an admin link should appear under Meta. Remember to sign your poems and place your own copyright notice on them.
3/ Do leave comments on others poems
We will post the most commented upon poems to our blogspot archive of searchable poetry which gets indexed by google and allows you to find your works.
The AucklandPoetry Blogspot archive is : http://blogspot.aucklandpoetry.com

Dear Editor,
With season’s greetings of Dr. Ram Mehta.
I have been just registered with you. I am trying to submit a poem for your consideration but of no avail.
Would you please direct me as to how I can post or submit my works?
With best of thoughts,
Ram Mehta

Dear Dr Ram
New poets (Contributors) can submit their work to the Wordpress system. I can see you have done that. Then I will edit the work and this means that I chose a suitable release moment for one reason or another.
The idea is that after successful publication here or in print, some poets may ask to be “Authors” on this site - this means that their contributions are public immediately.
Authors also can have their own page on the site.
I look forward to more internationally based Auckland Poets - all voices need to be heard in today’s world. When I arrived in Auckland in 1975 - it was not the international city of a great Pacific nation, but there were electric trolly busses. Now Auckland is a city where Hollywood films are made and some great poetry at Poetry Live.
Best and Welcome to AucklandPoetry!

Thank you

In the streets of New York, Chicago and Washington, DC, you will find Americans in tattered coats with signs on…
The site seems a well run one.
The standard of writing is an encouragement to strive for clarity in one’s own writing.
I look forward to using it more frequently and to my time later this year when I will be ‘Auckland based’
