June 2009
June edition – in the works over the month of June, so get your poems submitted and they just may be selected for the next edition. Authors who can contribute like Oscar – get in touch – want to see more variety in the “stream of poetry”.
Contributors: do not forget to check if your submissions have been set to PENDING REVIEW when you are ready to publish them. NEW: Your editor has been given a few basic editing lessons and now will accept or reject works submitted. Rejections (sometimes with Editors notes) are set to PRIVATE (so only you and Editors can see it). If you wish to correct and resubmit for PUBLICATION, please leaves these comments and reset to PENDING REVIEW. Make sense?
May 2009
May Edition features an image of an Auckland Street. Updated the inner site image to a wall of silence. I hope nobody felt lost. Auckland’s green Queen Street towers in a photograph that does not have the Sky Tower (yes, it is possible).
April 2009
Changed the poem font to Times New Roman. Basically to give the site a whole new look. Additional changes to the “inside” site (the seagulls pages) will be done to make it a little more Auckland.
March 2009
We now have over 200 contributors! If you have contributed and your poems are not appearing, try setting one of them to Pending Review – we may have missed it. More poems from contributors.
New Authors
Three regularly contributing members have been upgraded to Author status. Congratulations! We look forward to seeing more great poetry being posted.

AucklandPoetry.com is going from strength to strength. Google seems to respond to most of our new poem posts with their alerts so people must be reading ya. I want more poets to have their own page under Poets on the left hand menu. Any takers? Just send me a bio. You must of course identify yourself with a consistent “Byline” and that must include your user name (optionally in addition to your own name).

January 2009
Aucklandpoetry.com has, after a couple of hours of interrupted time, found a new home on a faster network to allow it to get more hits. Nothing should have changed except the site is a bit more responsive.
New social network for New Zealand poets started using this social network. It is a social network so is open for anyone to join and self-publish. The banner design is from a photograph I took from a flight over Mt Taranaki.
Finally, I figured out what was wrong with the 2.7 upgrade. I used a styled theme called Seaside but copied on the one called Seashore. That meant it could display naught. Once I realised and kicked myself a couple of times, I upgraded everything overnight. Few hiccups. Not too many. Now, things work so much better.
