THE WAIT

June 9th, 2008 by Ramon Te Wake

I’ll wait …

I’ll wait a little longer

I don’t mind the wait

It’ll make me stronger

I hear

So I’ll wait …

Time to process it through

Time to prepare for the ensue

Of waiting no longer for you

Yes I’ll wait …

Because I hear you’re worth waiting for

An irresistible meaning

An emotional cure

No doubt I’ll wait …

Cause I’m not sure what else to do

But just in case I fuck up

I was waiting just for you

YUCK

June 9th, 2008 by Ramon Te Wake

The taste is vulgar

Like sloppy kisses

Under a wet sheet

Of awful

Bright light

HOLLOWNESS

June 9th, 2008 by Ramon Te Wake

I want u

Inside my hollowness

Fill my eager space

Slow

Surely

Overflow like a fountain of kiss

Us

Captured in an orange crushed minute

Under a velvet set

We mash

You and I

Entangled forever

Enveloped by passions best

For nothing else matters

Nothing comes close

To the shape of loveliness

When everything matters even less

FOR HOLGA (Transient Lover)

June 9th, 2008 by Ramon Te Wake

I gave you my heart

My inexperienced

Longing heart

Because you pulled me

Like innocence

And still

I’m dangling in mid air

So grand in your suggestion

I wanted to put my hands all over your sculptured surface

Your man hair

My own private map

Was it a dream?

My fingers

Dripped down your face

On your lips

Inside your mouth

Where I could feel your burnt orange desire

Moist

No dream

HALLELUJAH

June 9th, 2008 by Ramon Te Wake

Feel it

Breathe it

Hold it in your hand

Taste it

To understand its simple truth

Live it simply

Allow your door to be ajar

Let light filter through

Let life filter through

Make struggle apart of the equation

Do not wallow in her magnitude

Rather learn and walk with her

Know that Courage Strength Wisdom belongs to you

Know that truth rocks inside of you

Know that all things are rare and beautiful

Know that you are precious and different

LOVE

Love

Is weak knees

And

Raging hearts

DIVAS (inspire me)

June 9th, 2008 by Ramon Te Wake

Aretha Franklin and Sarah Vaughn sing the blues

On the note of a Lucinda Williams tune

Cassandra Wilson’s soulful gust sweeps through

While Karen Carpenter soothes you under an Apple Badu

If Stevie was the gypsy from the past

Then Janis was the Joplin with the classic belt

Unmasked

India and Alicia have the fingers with the hook

But a voice is not a voice until Jill Scott takes a look

And even then Lauryn Hill will rhyme you under a bridge

Where Tina Turner is rocking it with the best

No ike to impinge

Except Beyonce’s bootie which is dangerously in love

With Annie Lennox’s sweet dreams cause she does soul like a qualified sin

Make love to a Chaka attack

Break up to an Anita Baker track

Linger on a bjork tangent

Let the beat of Misdemeanor bring it back

Madonna made it big in the 80s because she was a virgin and stuff

And Kate was the Bush we lingered in like the sweetest school crush

UGLY

June 9th, 2008 by Ramon Te Wake

You fucked me off today

Your thoughtless stings

Rude and thin

Singed arrows through my armor

I did not want your meaning in me

Horrified by the offer

Ugly

Has no place in my admiration

But damn little boy

It looks great on you

TO BE A CHILD OR NOT TO BE

June 9th, 2008 by Ramon Te Wake

Sometimes

Is like a long winding road that offers no direction

Just smacks of dust

And a sign on the side that reads“Buckle up or die”

Sometimes

In my hairless age of being a child I never felt buckled in

Stunned by wild horses

I leapt towards a scorched almond sky

Sometimes I would get burnt

Sometimes I would cry

Often I swallowed my own

Smothering it

Afraid of its gain

Flashing it when I felt flashy

Rare and striking

I could snap into pieces

Without you knowing

And even then

I was fooling no one

But myself

And the burn

Sometimes

Boy

June 9th, 2008 by Ramon Te Wake

Boy you got me

I’m reckless

Under your skin

My heart just doesn’t skip a beat when you’re near

It just stops

Ba bum ba bum ba

And when I think about not thinking about you I only think about you more

Boy you got me

And I don’t know why?

You really not my kind

I’ve ridden in a car like yours before

A broken tail light

Am radio

The heater doesn’t work

And its sooo winter

But you give me your coat

Attached to a smile

That wraps superbly around me

And suddenly I forgot I was cold

Then you kiss me

An electric shock

Sweet Like honey tea

I offer a moan

And let another one slip out

Just because I can

And want too

Boy you got me

Fuck me

Deep

Let me feel your whakapapa in me

Let me feel

Your conquests

Your history

Your flavour

Your lovers

Let it belong to me

For this moment

Mine

You

Me
