Dear Mum (In Loving Memory, RIP 5 January 2008)

God made me from within you
Conjured up sin and forgiveness too

You watched me grow, laugh and play
I’ve watched you do the same
I’ve seen you work and toil and sleep
I’ve even seen you cry.
I remember sitting in church one day
Looked around, there were tears in your eyes.

I lay in bed one night as well
I heard you cry and seek compassion in a friend.
I wanted so much to come to you
Cause I was young I needed you
When I left home your face read pain
Mine did too and I’m sorry of what came.

I really find it hard to talk
But can write my emotions sought
I’m not liaring so please believe what’s here
Please believe I really do care
I don’t know you, knowing me
But my love is still there
How ’bout you?
